Carol and William’s 55th Wedding Anniversary

I love photographing extended family sessions as I strongly believe that grandparents play a huge role in the lives of their grandchildren.

Alima and I carefully planned every detail to make sure that Carol and William feel special and relaxed on their 55th wedding anniversary. It had to be a secluded location with paved paths, benches and a variety of backdrops within a very short walking distance from the car. The session also had to be in the middle of the afternoon to fit it into everyone’s schedule.

I scouted for scenic spots and prepared gear for both strong, hot sun and a dull overcast, and we actually did have a bit of both!

The careful attention to detail and advanced planning helped us all feel relaxed during our session and gave room for improvisation. Did I expect Carol and William to dance on their wedding anniversary? No, but I was excited to catch those happy moments!
