Portrait series for Michelle
Before our session: “I HATE my pictures being taken and I am VERY hard to photograph. (My smile makes me squint and then my eyes looked closed). I ONLY like candid shots and loved how natural Amy's pictures looked that could still be used as head shots.”
- Michelle S.
We had a 30-min session scheduled with Michelle that turned into a 90-min shoot so much we were both enjoying the process of creating different looks - joyful, compassionate, formal - for her company - Crows Feet Consulting - and for her other projects on suicide prevention, Michelle co-authored a book Life, Death and Reinvention: The Gift of the Impossibly Messed-Up Life.
After we both felt that we got ‘The Shots’, Michelle and I sat down and went through the entire gallery, comparing the portraits, and finally narrowed it down to these four. When I said that I will need time to edit and lightly retouch the images, Michelle looked at me incredulously and said, “What’s there to retouch?!”
Light retouching is included in any of my images’ price: it can include softening the skin, touching up on the areas under the eyes and around the mouth, enhancing the eyes, removing odd stray hair, whitening teeth. You probably won't even notice these slight changes until you start comparing “before” and “after” but they make all the difference in the final look.
